Okie dokie! Hope I didn’t forget anybody.
After our “mishap” Tuesday evening, we didn’t do much yesterday other than make a trip to Sam’s to buy that new camera and pick up some staple items. We found a Canon EOS Rebel XS camera that had all the features to take great pictures, including the zoom capabilities that I’ve been missing.
Of course the price tag matches the capabilities, ($599) and I couldn’t help noticing that DeWayne looked a little “sticker shocked” when he put the box into the shopping cart and I had to remind him to “breath, Darlin”. lol He’s still saying that I tipped the canoe on purpose so I could get that new camera before Christmas.
I’ve been reading the manual and playing with it ever since we got it home and started watching the dvd that came with it today. Heck, give me a day or two and I’ll be a picture takin’ fool. Seriously, I can’t wait to get creative with my new toy and can’t wait to see the results.
DeWayne had planned to play golf today, but had too many things to do. He spent most of the day getting quotes on insurance and comparing the coverage. He’s been with Allstate for over 30 years, so it’s hard to switch, but we’re finding some comparable coverage for less, so he may just bite the bullet and switch.
He also called to get a new cell phone since his took a swim in the Missouri river and hasn’t worked since. We discovered yesterday that there is no US Cellular store in Great Falls, so the company is shipping his new one and it may arrive as early as tomorrow.
The temperature outside today climbed to 96, which tied the record. The last time it was 96 degrees on this date in Great Falls, Montana was in 1894. And the high tomorrow will only be 72. I’ve found that it’s not unusual to have a 10 to 15 degree difference here from one day to the next. I tried to stay inside today as much as possible due to the hot dry air and the wind. Between my allergies and the dry eyes, my “peepers” have been pretty miserable that last few days and I wanted nothing to do with hot, dry wind. After a day of using the eye drops every hour or two, my peepers feel much better tonight.
I’ve exhausted all the news I can think off, so I’ll shut up now. Stay tuned for the next episode of The Breeze and in the meantime…..
HAPPY TRAILS!

Those are some very cute kids and the puppy is darling!
ReplyDeleteI would like to get a new camera too, so I'll be interested in seeing how you like your new one. Of course, I haven't tipped a canoe lately!
I don't know what you are trying to insure, but we have the motorhome insured with Gilbert Rv Insurance agency. They are in Florida, but write for any state. You can find them online. They specialize in rv's so they know what is needed.
We insure our cars with USAA. They have changed their criteria and will now insure you if you were ever in the military. They are a very good company and have the highest claim satisfaction ratings (used to work there). You can reach them at 800-531-8111. They are very competitive. It never hurts to check around and see if you can get a better price.
Thanks, Karen for the information on insurance. It never hurts to have several to compare.
ReplyDeleteI already love the features of my new camera but haven't had the chance to really put it to the test yet. I'll let you know.
Thanks for visiting. I'm really enjoying your blog!
I know you will love the camera. I love my Canon. I have the XSI and I can say the battery lasts a long long time.
ReplyDeleteTommy and I insure our vehicles with USAA and they are the BEST. They farm the RV insurance our to Progressive.
